Board of Governors Exam Preparation and Volunteer Event

Wednesday June 12th 1:00pm-2:30pm Volunteer Event, 2:45-5:00pm Exam Preparation

Second Harvest Heartland
6325 Sandberg Road
Golden Valley, MN 55427

Description:

Earning the distinction of board certification in healthcare management as a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) signifies your expertise, experience and commitment to continuing education and professional development. Just as members of the medical staff are board certified, having the FACHE credential by your name indicates a level of achievement in the profession.

Join ACHE Minnesota members pursuing the FACHE credential and interested in learning more about the Board of Governor’s (BOG) Exam. We will review the components of the Exam, BOG-specific test taking strategies, and how to study for the Exam.  Arrive early to volunteer at Second Harvest Heartland as we help pack food for distribution to area food shelters. This opportunity can be applied toward the community service component of your FACHE application.

Learning Objectives:

  1.  Review the Exam’s 10 key knowledge areas
  2.  Apply test taking strategies to sample test questions
  3.  Identify areas to focus your additional Exam preparation

Target Audience: ACHE Minnesota Chapter members interested in or preparing for the Board of Governor’s Exam

Moderator:

Mathew Bedard, FACHE, MPH is the Campus Administrator for Presbyterian Homes – Langton Place, a not-for-profit faith-based 94-bed post acute care rehabilitation center located in Roseville.  At ACHE Minnesota, Matt serves on the Board of Directors and as the Membership & Advancement Committee Chair.
