Join the ACHE MN Board of Directors!
ACHE MN is accepting applications for the following Board of Director positions for 2025:
- Chapter Secretary (Officer Position)
- Chapter Education Committee Vice-Chair
- Local Program Council Chair for Central Minnesota
- Local Program Council Chair for Southern Minnesota
- Chapter Membership & Advancement Chair
Requirements for Board Membership & Minimum Qualifications for Candidates:
- Must be a current ACHE member in good standing.
- Must maintain an active address within the state of Minnesota.
- Current or previous committee service recommended (not required).
Our commitment: Candidates for election to the ACHE MN Board should be aware that board members serve as volunteers. Your responsibilities as a board member will require a variable amount of dedicated time to ACHE activities in addition to your professional and personal responsibilities.
POSITION DESCRIPTIONS:
The Secretary (1-year term) is an officer position of the Board. Upon completion of a 1-year term, the Secretary then advances to President-Elect for a 1-year term, and then to President for a 1-year term.
Key areas of focus include:
- Responsible for recording chapter board meeting minutes.
- Works closely with the officers and executive team.
- Advise various committees as needed.
- The Secretary can expect to spend 4-6 hours per month on ACHE MN activities.
The Vice Chair for Education (1-year term) supports the Education Committee’s efforts and serves as a member-at-large and voting member of the Board.
Key areas of focus include:
- Collaborates with the Education Chair and Committee members to coordinate a robust schedule of educational activities supporting the professional development of Chapter members.
- Works closely with the Education, Communication and Membership committee chairs to aid in execution of events.
- In conjunction with the Treasurer, create a budget for the Events Committee.
- The Vice Chair can expect to spend 4-6 hours per month on ACHE MN activities.
The Local Program Council Chair for Central Minnesota (2-year term) represents their region on the Chapter Board; provides and/or coordinates programs serving their region’s specific needs; and engages volunteers in the region.
Key areas of focus include:
- Partner with local member volunteers to develop a schedule of educational and networking events.
- Engage new members from the region.
- Collaborate with other board members on ACHE MN programs, including mentoring, communication strategies, diversity, and sponsorship.
- The Local Program Council Chair can expect to spend 4-6 hours per month on ACHE MN activities.
The Local Program Council Chair for Southern Minnesota (2-year term) represents their region on the Chapter Board; provides and/or coordinates programs serving their region’s specific needs; and engages volunteers in the region.
Key areas of focus include:
- Partner with local member volunteers to develop a schedule of educational and networking events.
- Engage new members from the region.
- Collaborate with other board members on ACHE MN programs, including mentoring, communication strategies, diversity, and sponsorship.
- The Local Program Council Chair can expect to spend 4-6 hours per month on ACHE MN activities.
The Chapter Membership & Advancement Chair (2-year term) leads key Chapter initiatives to foster engagement with and among chapter members and volunteers.
Key areas of focus include:
- Develop a volunteer pipeline with defined opportunities for members to engage.
- Support advancement of Chapter members to Board as certified Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
- Collaborate with other Committee and Board members to engage students and new members.
- Establish working partnerships with other professional societies and healthcare organizations.
- The Membership & Advancement Chair can expect to spend 4-6 hours per month on ACHE MN activities.
