Join the ACHE MN Board of Directors!
ACHE MN is accepting applications for the following Board of Director positions for 2026:
- Chapter Secretary (Officer Position)
- Communication Committee Chair
- Sponsorship Committee Chair
- Mentorship Committee Chair
- Member-at-Large: Physician and Medical Professional Relations
Requirements for Board Membership & Minimum Qualifications for Candidates:
- Must be a current ACHE member in good standing.
- Must maintain an active address within the state of Minnesota.
- Current or previous committee service recommended (not required).
Our commitment: Candidates for election to the ACHE MN Board should be aware that board members serve as volunteers. Your responsibilities as a board member will require a variable amount of dedicated time to ACHE activities in addition to your professional and personal responsibilities.
POSITION DESCRIPTIONS:
CHAPTER SECRETARY
The Chapter Secretary (1-year term) is an officer position of the Board. Upon completion of a 1-year term, the Secretary then advances to President-Elect for a 1-year term, to President for a 1-year term, and to Immediate Past President for a 1-year term. Secretary candidates must have previous experience with ACHE, locally or nationally, such as board, committee, or volunteer service. Minimum estimated time commitment is 4-6 hours/month.

Key areas of focus include:
- Responsible for recording chapter board meeting minutes.
- Responsible for maintaining and updating Chapter Officer and Chair Rosters.
- Works closely with the officers and executive team to conduct chapter business.
- Advise various committees as needed.
COMMUNICATIONS CHAIR
The ACHE MN Communications Chair brings marketing and communications expertise to develop engaging and relevant content. This position oversees various aspects of communication from newsletters to social media and facilitating collaboration among the various committees. This role receives support for executing the work from the Chapter Coordinator. Minimum estimated time commitment is 4-6 hours/month. This position serves as a voting member of the Board and term of office is two years.
Key areas of focus include:
- Develop and distribute four quarterly ACHE MN Chapter newsletters highlighting message from the Chapter President, Regent, Committee Chairs, Member Feature, and promotion of future events.
- Develop and publish content on chapter social media accounts (e.g. LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook) to ensure they are current and reflective of ACHE MN’s mission and activities.
- Lead and facilitate monthly committee meetings and attend monthly Board meetings.
- Host annual all committee roundtable discussion to promote cross-committee collaboration, share best practices, and enhance overall communication efforts within the chapter.
SPONSORSHIP CHAIR
The ACHE MN Sponsorship Chair leads efforts to secure funds from sponsors to enable advancement our program offerings. Minimum estimated time commitment is 4-6 hours/month. This position serves as a voting member of the Board and term of office is two years.
Key areas of focus include:
- Lead efforts to solicit funds from corporate and event specific sponsors.
- Create and maintain on-going relationships with sponsors.
- Promote Fund-A-Need Program.
- Lead and facilitate committee meetings and attend monthly Board meetings.
MENTORSHIP CHAIR
The ACHE MN Mentorship Chair manages the Chapter’s mentoring programs. Lead the work to enhance an emerging mentoring program and help take this work to the next level! The minimum estimated time commitment is 4-6 hours/month plus participation as a board member for ACHE MN Chapter. The term of office is two years.
Key areas of focus include:
- Coordination of programs to match mentors and mentees for individual relationships, as well as pairing people together for unique growth experiences like job shadow experiences, networking at ACHE MN events, and developing emerging opportunities each year.
- Collaborate on targeted programs in support of strategic efforts to engage new members; serve members representing diverse backgrounds; and engage members in rural Minnesota.
- Lead and facilitate committee meetings and attend monthly Board meetings.
MEMBER-AT-LARGE: PHYSICIAN AND MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL RELATIONS
This Director role serves as the liaison to the medical community within the chapter. Minimum estimated time commitment is 4-6 hours/month. This position serves as a voting member of the Board and term of office is two years.
Key areas of focus include:
- Partner with the board’s committees and local programming councils to deliver accessible, high-quality programs addressing the needs of our physician and licensed advanced practitioner members.
- Collaborate with other board members to engage physician leaders and new members.
- Nurture collaborative relations with other professional societies and organizations serving physician leaders.
