Join the ACHE MN Board of Directors!

ACHE MN is accepting applications for the following Board of Director positions:

  • Chapter Education Committee Vice-Chair
  • Local Program Council Chair for Central Minnesota
  • Local Program Council Chair for Northern Minnesota
  • Chapter Membership Chair
  • Chapter Diversity & Inclusion Chair

Minimum Qualifications for Candidates:

  • Must be a current ACHE affiliate in good standing.
  • Must maintain an active address within the state of Minnesota
  • Must be a member in good standing with ACHE-MN Chapter.

Our commitment: Candidates for election to the ACHE_MN Board should be aware that board members serve as volunteers.  Your responsibilities as a board member will require a variable amount of dedicated time to ACHE activities in addition to your professional and personal responsibilities.

Board Position Descriptions:

The Vice Chair for Education supports the Education Committee’s efforts.

Key areas of focus include:

  1. Collaborates with the Education Chair and Committee members to coordinate a robust schedule of educational activities supporting the professional development of Chapter members.
  2. Works closely with the Education, Communication and Membership committee chairs to aid in execution of events.
  3. In conjunction with the Treasurer, create a budget for the Events Committee.

The position of Education Vice Chair serves as a member-at-large and voting member of Board.  Term of office for this position ends in December 2024. However, candidates should be aware of the potential opportunity to assume a 3-year term as Education Chair, beginning in January 2024.

The Vice Chair can expect to spend 4-6 hours per month on ACHE MN activities.

The Local Program Council Chair for Central Minnesota (3-year term) represents their region on the Chapter Board; provides and / or coordinates programs serving their region’s specific needs; and engages volunteers in the region.

Key areas of focus include:

  1. Partner with local member volunteers to develop a schedule of educational and networking events.
  2. Engage new members from the region.
  3. Collaborate with other board members on ACHE_MN programs, including mentoring, communication strategies, diversity, and sponsorship.

The Local Program Council Chair can expect to spend 4-6 hours per month on ACHE MN activities.

The Local Program Council Chair for Northern Minnesota (3-year term) represents their region on the Chapter Board; provides and / or coordinates programs serving their region’s specific needs; and engages volunteers in the region.

Key areas of focus include:

  1. Partner with local member volunteers to develop a schedule of educational and networking events.
  2. Engage new members from the region.
  3. Collaborate with other board members on ACHE_MN programs, including mentoring, communication strategies, diversity, and sponsorship.

The Local Program Council Chair can expect to spend 4-6 hours per month on ACHE MN activities.

The Chapter Membership Chair leads key Chapter initiatives to foster engagement with and among chapter members and volunteers.

Key areas of focus include:

  1. Develop a volunteer pipeline with defined opportunities for members to engage.
  2. Support advancement of Chapter members to Board as certified Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
  3. Collaborate with other Committee and Board members to engage students and new members.
  4. Establish working partnerships with other professional societies and healthcare organizations.

The Membership Chair can expect to spend 4-6 hours per month on ACHE MN activities.

Diversity and Inclusion Committee Chair leads plans for expanding diversity and inclusion on the board, at events, and in our membership.

Key areas of focus include:

  1. Develop and implement an annual plan for programs that assure growth and diversity of ACHE MN Chapter
  2. Function as Board liaison to affinity groups in region
  3. Plan educational and networking events in conjunction with Local Program Councils, other Board Committees, and affinity groups
  4. Speak at local universities to promote diversity and inclusion and reach out to student groups

The Diversity and Inclusion Chair can expect to spend 4-6 hours per month on ACHE MN activities.
