March 10, 2021 - Richard Priore Receives 2020 Regent Award for Senior-Level Executive

The American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) is pleased to announce that Richard Priore, ScD, MHA, FACHE has been selected to receive the 2020 Minnesota Regent’s Senior-Level Healthcare Executive Award. This award is given to a leader who has made a significant and lasting impact in the healthcare industry. Recipients must be an ACHE Fellow, C-Suite or senior-level executive, demonstrate leadership and innovation in management, contribute to the development of others in healthcare, and support ACHE in achieving its objectives.

ACHE MN is honored to recognize Rich’s contribution and continued commitment and service to ACHE as a long-time member, Fellow, and faculty member. According to the nomination, “Rich has gone above and beyond, lending his expertise and support to ACHE at a national level whileteaching and mentoring our next generation of healthcare leaders. Dr. Priore’s  development and facilitation of a three-month Fellow Advancement Program lead to a one-hundred percent pass rate of the Board of Governors exam and advancement to Fellow for thirteen participants in the Minnesota and other surrounding chapters in Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, and Michigan.

Rich is the founder and chief executive officer of Excelsior HealthCare Group, an outcomes-driven healthcare management consulting firm and certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) specializing in the assessment, execution, and speed of measurable results in improving organizational performance. He has served as the chief executive officer for several investor-owned hospitals and as a hospital turnaround expert with the Hunter Group. Dr. Priore is also a Distinguished Service Professor at the University of St. Thomas in Saint Paul, teaching graduatelevel courses in finance and economics. He is a published author with the recently released Improving Financial and Operations Performance: A Healthcare Leader’s Guide.
