Sally Buck Receives 2021 Regent Award for Senior-Level Executive

The American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) is pleased to announce that Sally Buck, FACHE has been selected to receive the 2021 Minnesota Regent’s Senior-Level Healthcare Executive Award. This award is given to a leader who has made a significant and lasting impact in the healthcare industry. Recipients must be an ACHE Fellow, C-Suite or senior-level executive, demonstrate leadership and innovation in management, contribute to the development of others in healthcare, and support ACHE in achieving its objectives.

ACHE MN is honored to recognize Sally’s contribution and continued commitment and service to ACHE. According to the nomination, “Sally has been a committed member of ACHE Minnesota as the Chair for the Northern LPC for the last 3 years and as a strong participant on the Education Committee. Sally’s leadership has made our Northern Local Program Council consistently deliver meaningful education content on topics such as telemedicine and emergency preparedness. In all our work as a committee and board, she has helped keep the needs of our rural health care organizations and leaders at the forefront of every offering we develop, which is critical for our Minnesota stakeholders. Sally is a thoughtful leader who I personally respect a great deal as a peer and as someone I look up to.”

Sally is the Chief Executive Officer of the National Rural Health Resource Center and is responsible for developing rural health technical assistance and directing federal programs and strategy. As CEO she provides leadership and program development for rural health issues at the federal, state, and local level by analyzing rural hospital, clinic, network, and state needs to develop and enhance programs. Sally is a Fellow of ACHE; she sits on the Board of Directors for ACHE MN and serves as the Northern Local Program Council representative. Sally received her Master’s degree from the University of Michigan.
