Sarah Freymann Fontenot, JD, is an adjunct professor for health law in the Department of Health Care Administration, Trinity University, San Antonio. A former nurse and practicing attorney, she is also a professional speaker, specializing in explaining how healthcare is evolving and what those changes mean for providers. Ms. Fontenot also has taught extensively for physician organizations—including the Texas Medical Association—and for ACHE, where she serves as faculty for the BOG Examination Review course, and is an instructor for ACHE’s online course “Health Law Essentials.” Previously Ms. Fontenot taught in the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health at Yale Medical School, New Haven, Conn.
